  SCHOOL PROFILE

          The School implements the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade Three and 2002 Basic Education Curriculum for Grade Four to Grade Six as prescribed by the Department of Education. It is exploring and targeting goals that will lead pupils to excel in all aspects – moral, spiritual, mental and physical.

          Alternative Learning System is being conducted for Out of School Youth under Balik-Aral Program.  They will take the Accreditation and Equivalency exam to assess the level they will enroll to if they decide to go back to school for regular class.The school is also conducting classes for Children with Special Needs.  As of this school year, there are twelve (15) SPED pupils enrolled.  Three of them are mainstreamed and the rest have their classes under the scheduled individualized instruction.

     As of date, The school has fifty-eight (58) faculty members, one (1) school head, one (1) school nurse, three (3) clerks, one (1) driver, five (5) watchman, and five (5) utility workers. Among the fifty-eight (58) faculty members, five (5) are Master Teacher I, five (5) Teacher III, nine (9) Teacher II, and twenty-nine (29) Teacher I. Of the twenty-nine (29) Teacher I, three (3) are Kindergarten Teacher.

      At present the school has four (4) buildings: three (3) 2-storey building with two (6) classrooms; two (2) 3-storey building with twenty-one (21) classrooms; and one (1) 4-storey building with seven (7) classrooms.It  has a covered quadrangle and a stage.Out of the thirty-one (31) functional classrooms; four (4) classrooms are used for Kindergarten Classes, twenty-four (24) classrooms are used for Grades 1 to 6 Classes, one (1) for SPED. It also has one (1) Principal’s Office, one (1) Guidance Office, one (1) Clinic, one (1) canteen, one (1) library, and one (1) science laboratory.There are also one (1) toilet with three (3) bowls for female pupils and one (1) bowl for female teachers and one (1) toilet with two (2) bowl and three (3) urinals for male pupils and one (1) bowl for male teachers. There is also one (1) toilet with three (3) bowls for male and female pupils. There are four (4) academic classrooms with toilet and bowls.

  1. COMMUNITY PROFILE

     Masville Elementary School is located at Masville, Sucat, Parañaque City with 1,578 square meters. It is adjacent to Sucat Interchange and South Superhighway. It is in the heart of Barangay B.F. Homes. The place is one of the crowded and depressed areas of the barangay. Numerous residential homes occupies three villages or pook–Pook Manggahan (Purok I, II, III IV), Pook Aratiles and Pook Silangan where the acronym for Masville came from with 8.2 hectares comprising of 14,300 population and 1,340 number of household. The school is located strategically at the inner most part of the area. The Homeowners Association helped in the construction of the school buildings by following up the request from government officials.

      Through the collaborative and cooperative efforts of the teachers, pupils and community leaders, the pursuit of school programs and projects towards excellence and the production of responsible, uprights and competitive pupils will be achieved. GO’s and NGO’s like Natrapharm, Ateneo de Manila, Couples for Christ-South Chapter and Southville International School provide links with the school to attain the goals and targets it has for the betterment of the pupils. School Improvement Plan has been monitored intensely and serves as the school’s ladder to success.
